The Gili Islands

The Gili Islands are insane, we only went to Gili T but it was absolutely packed with people, bars and restaurants.

With no motor vehicles your choices of transport are walking, cycling or pony and cart. I wouldn't recommend cycling... most of the cyclists we saw spent most of their time diving out the way of wild ponies. We took a pony and cart to our hotel as we had absolutely no idea where it was.

We're staying in Flush Bungalows which are amazing little huts with ensuite bathrooms and the staff are super friendly and really willing to help with anything.

The next morning we had breakfast the best way you could possibly have breakfast.

We then decided to try snorkelling. It was absolutely amazing. The water is so clear you can see everything and a kind man gave us a bottle filled with bread and when you squeeze the bottle, tiny chunks of bed pop out and the fish swim all around you, it's so surreal!

After a short sea break and lunch it was time to try paddle boarding. I loved it! Most definitely worth trying and we paid £2.50 for half an hour. I don't have any photos as I used an underwater disposable... but I will post them as soon as I have them developed.

The Gili Islands really are beautiful and if we had more time I would have loved to stay another night... But we must carry on to the next place!!

See you in Uluwatu!

Steph
